The Problem

Before we engaged with MEC they had an old featureless phone sys- tem which didn’t connect properly to the door entry system leaving staff frustrated when visitors arrived at their business. MEC got used to it through the years, it wasn’t costing the earth so they didn’t look to change it. Service was ok but changes wasn’t happening even after raising issues. IBT sat down with the owner of MEC, accountants and the office manager to discuss their frustrations and what they want in the future from their communications. Like most people they said they are low users and it doesn’t really affect them. After 2 meetings we went away and thought about options internally at IBT.

Our Solution

From our findings we then decided to include: Remote working options, call recording, easier diverts, connecting up all of the door entry system properly to work with the business and some basic integrations with outlook. We also upgraded all of the meeting rooms to have wireless conference phones. We installed FTTC within 5 working days and cabled it around the building to provide fast speeds at all access points. The phones now look smarter, work better with the business and the staff have been commenting on how much better the response times and support are. They moved into an empty shell of a building and we worked closely with MEC medical to ensure all internet, phones, calls, conference phones, door entry and Wi-Fi are all working to a high standard. We have made the project easy from start to finish acting in a professional manner at all times.

The Outcome

Since the deployment of the system we have visited MEC Medical multiple times to make sure all staff are happy and feeling confident using the system, if additional training is required it has been provided through the support contract. We have open dialogue and quarterly calls which gives peace of mind. We are constantly monitoring the system through our support desk and offer any new features which may help customers. As MEC are on a hosted system they are getting new features added to the system monthly which allows them to stay current and modern.
