Invest in a strong, dedicated ethernet leased line for your business.

If your business is looking for a fast, reliable and cost-effective connection to your premise a leased line is the way forward.

  • What is a Leased Line?

Unlike conventional telephone lines in the public switched telephone network (PSTN), leased lines are not switched circuits and do not have a corresponding telephone number. Both ends of the line is permanently linked, always on and dedicated so unaffected by local fluctuations in bandwidth demand.

Leased lines can be used for Business VoIP, Internet and other data connectivity services including Software as a Sevice (SaaS) and Cloud Data Storage.

A leased line is a premium Internet connectivity product, normally delivered over fibre, which provides uncontested, symmetrical bandwidth with full-duplex traffic. It is also known as a leased Ethernet line, dedicated line, data circuit or private line.

  • How much will a leased line cost?

Pricing is based upon the connection you would like. Having a leased line is slightly more expensive than your Fibre Connection BUT if staying connected is something you cannot put a price on it may be worth looking at making the switch.

  • Is my company eligible for the GBVS?

Most probably yes. But take a look to see on the official website. While you’re there take a look at all the information. It will tell you everything you need to know.

  • Is a leased line the right move for my business?

Ensuring your business is well connected is key to making your business run smoothly. Having a strong, stable, reliable connection is therefore the way forward. If your business already makes use of IP telephony, cloud based projects and video conferencing then a leased line will ensure these applications run with ease.

  • How long does installation take?

You’ll need to view the installation of your fibre optic leased line is a project. There are numerous questions, assessment of the premises, and visits by engineers. We provided a team dedicated to managing installations whilst keeping a close eye on how things are progressing and clearly communicating updates to you as soon as they have them.

  • Can I increase speeds in the future?

Yes, you can increase your speed provided there is space on the bearer line. It’s worth asking at the outset what the maximum available speed is available.

  • How reliable is a Leased Line?

Dedicated fibre optic is extremely reliable as it’s not susceptible to environmental factors like electronic interference and the weather. If it does go down, a leased line is treated as a priority fix, usually with a five-hour target for a fix if there’s a total loss of service (versus several days for standard broadband services).

  • Are there any disadvantages of a leased line?

A leased line can take a while to set up and install, and depending on location can cost quite a lot for installation. Ongoing the costs are higher than normal Fibre Broadband but for a much superior service.
